The woman who falsely claimed to have miraculously acquired a ₦500 million mansion during a church service has been arrested, according to the founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Prophet Ebuka Obi.
In a video shared online, Prophet Obi confirmed the arrest and expressed his determination to get to the root of the matter.
“I heard they have arrested the girl. We are interested in the case. The case cannot be manipulated. We want to know who sent her,” he stated.
Church Distances Itself from Fake Testimony
The controversy began when an unidentified woman testified during a Zion Prayer Movement Outreach service that she had miraculously acquired a luxury mansion worth half a billion naira. However, investigations revealed that her claim was false.

Prophet Obi quickly distanced himself and his church from the woman’s testimony, making it clear that neither he nor any church member knew her personally.
“Do I know her? Does any member know her? She came to testify, just like hundreds of others who come here daily. If the house she claimed to own is fake, then she lied before God and His altar—not the ministry. We are going to trace the girl,” Obi said.
Allegations of a Smear Campaign
The cleric alleged that another pastor from Eastern Nigeria had been behind a plot to tarnish his reputation. He claimed that bloggers were paid to spread false reports and drag his name into the controversy.
“I said it last month that my name would be all over the media, that the media would be shaking, making it look real—but it’s all fake,” Obi stated.
Despite the scandal, Prophet Obi assured his followers that his ministry remains committed to transparency and truth. He emphasized that his team would follow up on the case to uncover the real motives behind the woman’s false testimony.
