Queen Dami, the estranged wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi, has officially ended her relationship with controversial Nigerian singer, Portable. The dramatic two-year relationship between the duo, marked by public spats and accusations, came to a stormy conclusion on Thursday when Queen Dami announced on Instagram, “Alhamdulillah, I’m done. This is too much for me; I can’t take this embarrassment.”
The public drama began Wednesday night during an Instagram Live session hosted by Queen Dami. Portable joined the session and immediately criticized her, saying, “What are you doing online? You are someone’s wife and should not be online doing nonsense.” Despite Dami’s attempts to turn the exchange into playful banter, Portable persisted with his harsh comments, forcing her to end the session abruptly. She later took to Instagram to express her frustration and announce the breakup.
Portable, known for his controversial personality, escalated the conflict hours later by releasing a scathing video targeting Queen Dami. In the video, the Zazuu crooner made several shocking claims. He alleged, “Queen Dami, the online wife, has packed out. I dated you for two years. You claimed you lost four or five pregnancies. I pitied your condition because of the late king, and I got you an apartment and a shop. But now, I’ve told you to leave.”
Portable went on to make damning accusations about her past. “When I met her, she was an ‘Olosho’ (prostitute). I even slept with her and her friend together. Later, I agreed to date her out of pity but told her I already had a wife. She wanted to cast a spell on me, but I proved smarter. She is a prostitute. I don’t want her to kill me the way she killed the Alaafin.”

In response, Queen Dami dismissed Portable’s claims and accused him of being abusive. She revealed, “I didn’t come to you; you were the one who slid into my DM. Since I met you, your glory has started shining. You called me a TikTok prostitute. It shall not be well with you.”
Dami also refuted Portable’s allegations about her involvement in the death of the late Alaafin, saying, “I don’t have a hand in the late Alaafin’s death. If he were alive, I wouldn’t know who Portable is. Do you think I’m happy my husband died?”
Queen Dami alleged that Portable regularly abused her, both physically and emotionally. “He beats me daily and even threatened to kill me. That’s why I left,” she disclosed. She also criticized Portable’s financial neglect, claiming he failed to provide her with basic needs like a car while lavishing his wife with multiple vehicles. “I move around on Okada (motorcycles), yet you say I’m chasing clout,” she added.
Dami further accused Portable of failing to commit to their relationship. “You haven’t married me. You made me a kept woman. Do you even know my family members? Have you wedded me with a ring?” she questioned.
The relationship between Queen Dami and Portable first caught public attention in August 2023 when Portable confirmed their romance. Queen Dami, a 27-year-old mother-of-one, had previously made headlines in November 2020 when she fled the Alaafin’s palace but returned nearly a year later with a public apology to the monarch.
