Kylian Mbappe has set his sights on making his highly anticipated Real Madrid debut in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta next month.
The French forward, who joined Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain in June, shared his excitement about his new chapter and gave an update on the broken nose he sustained during Euro 2024.
Mbappe spoke about his debut plans during a recent interview. When asked if he would participate in Real Madrid’s pre-season tour in America, Mbappe said, “We’ll see with the coach and the club. If the club says yes, I’ll go. I’m at the club’s disposal. I hope I’ll play the Super Cup match, it’s up to the coach to decide. I’m going to get to work to play the first match.”
Mbappe’s upcoming debut in the UEFA Super Cup is a highly anticipated event, as it will mark his first competitive appearance for the club. The Super Cup is scheduled for August 14, 2024, in Warsaw, Poland, and will see Real Madrid face Atalanta, the winners of the Europa League.

In addition to discussing his debut, Mbappe provided an update on his recovery from a nose injury he suffered while playing for France in Euro 2024.
“I am in contact with the medical staff, I am listening to what is recommended to me and I will resume playing when possible. I want to be able to contribute as much as possible to the team as soon as possible,” Mbappe said.
The 25-year-old forward is focusing on his recovery and is eager to start his career with Real Madrid on a high note.
He added, “I’m doing everything I can to be fit and ready for the new season. My goal is to contribute to the team and help them succeed.
“Real Madrid will start their pre-season campaign on July 31, 2024, in America with a match against AC Milan. They will also face Barcelona on August 3 and Chelsea on August 7, as they prepare for the new season.”
