The Bauchi State Government has dismissed two senior civil servants after they were found guilty of forgery.
The Information and Public Relations Officer of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC), Mr. Saleh Umar, confirmed the dismissal in a statement on Wednesday.
According to him, the affected officers are Mr. Yusuf Ningi, an Administrative Officer, and Mr. Suleiman Ahmed, a Principal Executive Officer I. Their dismissal took effect from September 23, 2025, after the commission’s 35th plenary session.
Umar explained that the officers’ actions violated State Public Service Rule 0327 (ii, iii, and vi).
“The officers were posted to Government House from the Office of the Head of Civil Service, and their dismissal took effect from Sept. 23,” he said.

The Chairman of the commission, Dr. Ibrahim Muhammad, urged other civil servants to follow the rules of public service.
He said, “Adherence to laid-down laws will free them from unlawful practice and improve the quality of service delivery, free of corruption.”
He also stressed that the commission will continue to uphold ethical conduct, integrity, and the rule of law in the state’s civil service.
Meanwhile, during the same plenary, the commission confirmed the promotion of three substantive directors and approved the promotion of four deputy directors to directors. The new directors include those in Administration and Human Resources, Audit, Planning, Research and Statistics, Civil Litigation, and Land and Valuation.
Others promoted include eight Chief State Counsels and Chief Land Officers, who are now Deputy Directors.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that on September 11, the commission also dismissed an Education Officer for alleged sexual harassment.
