Afrobeats sensations Mayorkun, popularly known as the “Mayor of Lagos,” and YKB are set to dazzle fans at the 32nd edition of GOtv Boxing Night, organizers Flykite Productions have announced. The event will take place on Boxing Day, December 26, at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, blending the thrill of boxing with electrifying live performances.
Fans can also look forward to a dose of comedy, as renowned comedian MC Lively will join the lineup of entertainers for the night. Organizers have promised an unforgettable experience combining music, comedy, and top-tier boxing matches.
Bamidele Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Flykite Productions, highlighted the unique appeal of the December edition. “Boxing fans know that the December edition of GOtv Boxing Night is always a vibrant celebration of boxing and music. This year, we are taking it up a notch by blending thrilling bouts with electrifying music and comedic performances by top entertainers, to give the fans a Boxing Day experience to remember,” Johnson said.
The event will feature six bouts, headlined by a showdown between Raheem “Badoo” Animashaun and Hammed “Ese” Ganiyu. This highly anticipated clash promises to be a highlight of the night.

In addition, fans will witness a national super welterweight title fight between Lateef “Enuoshe” Azeez and Rasheed “Fally Boy” Adeyemo, two fighters eager to claim the prestigious belt.

- Sikiru “Omo Iya Eleja” Shogbesan vs. Imole “System” Oloyede in a national super featherweight challenge.
- Taiwo “Gentle Boy” Olowu vs. Jafaru “Tanka” Suleiman in a national super welterweight challenge.
- Akintunde Abolade vs. Emmanuel Abimbola in the national super flyweight category.
- Kehinde Owoeye vs. Emmanuel Bamidele in an exhibition clash in the amateur flyweight category.
