Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has lauded his team’s entertaining style of play, despite their recent struggles to secure victories in the English Premier League (EPL).
Despite only winning one of their last six top-flight matches, Ten Hag remains upbeat about United’s performance on the pitch.
“We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment,” Ten Hag remarked to BBC Match of the Day. “We are creating loads of chances by playing good football. Every team gives up opportunities. But when it is up to us, it is weird.”
Despite their entertaining style, United were held to a 1-1 draw against Burnley over the weekend. Zeki Amdouni’s penalty canceled out Antony’s earlier goal for the Red Devils. United’s recent form has seen them struggle to secure wins, only managing one victory inside 90 minutes since mid-March.
Reflecting on the Burnley match, Ten Hag expressed frustration at letting the lead slip, stating to Sky Sports, “We put ourselves in a winning position by playing some good football – creating loads of chances and then to give it away in the end in the final minutes it’s so unnecessary.”

United’s position in the Premier League table remains uncertain, currently sitting sixth with just four matches left in the season. They are in a tight race for Europa League qualification, holding a one-point advantage over Newcastle United.
With crucial matches ahead, including a showdown with Crystal Palace on May 6, United will be looking to translate their entertaining style into more positive results as they aim to secure European football for next season.
