President Bola Tinubu will officially welcome seven newly appointed ministers during a ceremony on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This announcement came from Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, who shared the news on his official X account on Sunday. Onanuga explained that the swearing-in follows the Senate’s confirmation of the ministerial nominees, which took place last week.
The new ministers will take on significant roles within the Tinubu administration. They include Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, who will serve as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi has been appointed as the Minister of Labour and Employment, while Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu will take on the role of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The remaining appointees are Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, who will oversee the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment; Idi Mukhtar Maiha, who will be responsible for the Ministry of Livestock Development; Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, who will serve as Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development; and Dr. Suwaiba Said Ahmad, who will act as Minister of State for Education.
