Real Madrid’s signing of Kylian Mbappé, one of the summer’s most high-profile transfers, is now reportedly facing internal doubts, with claims that the club regrets bringing the French forward to the Santiago Bernabéu. According to Spanish journalist Romain Molina, concerns have emerged within the club, with some fearing they have made a “big mistake” by acquiring the star player.
For years, Real Madrid pursued Mbappé, who had been one of the most sought-after talents during his time at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). However, the Swedish authorities confirmed that while an investigation is underway, Mbappé’s name is not mentioned in their statement.
Within Real Madrid, there seem to be mixed feelings about the high-profile signing. Romain Molina claims that the club’s leadership is already second-guessing the decision to bring in Mbappé. According to the reports, the team’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was not in favor of the signing, and several board members were also against it. It is suggested that Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, was the “only one that wanted him” on the team.
