Hosting the FIFA World Cup is an important step in the growth journey of the sport sector in the Kingdom, which has witnessed great developments and success in recent years.”
Cristiano Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, has publicly backed the bid. On social media, he expressed his support: “The @saudi2034bid invites the world to join us on our journey of remarkable transformation as the home of global sport.”
