Security operatives in Anambra State have arrested a herbalist named Ezekiel after finding 11 human bones in his possession. Ezekiel, originally from Ezza in Ebonyi State, was arrested over the weekend in Neni, Anaocha Local Government Area, where he lives.
The arrest followed a tip-off from whistleblowers who noticed suspicious activities at Ezekiel’s residence. A video circulating on social media shows security operatives raiding his home and discovering bones from various human parts.
During interrogation, Ezekiel admitted that the bones were human but claimed they were brought to him by a relative from Ebonyi State, an area experiencing communal clashes.
He stated that he uses the bones to make “high-quality charms” for people.

In the video, a member of the security team warned community members to be cautious about who they rent their houses to and to monitor their tenants’ activities. He praised the whistleblower for providing the information that led to Ezekiel’s arrest and urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior.
Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikenga Tochukwu, confirmed the video and the arrest.
“The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing interrogation. Further details will be communicated,” Ikenga said.
