In the last few days, news have been trending on the social media that Channels Television has fired Seun Okinbaloye,an anchor of its popular programme, Politics Today and Sunday Politics.

In contrast, the news has been found to be false as a seasoned communication professor and columnist, Forroq Kperogi has confirmed via his Facebook page.

Kperogi’s post reads, “Channel TV’s Seun Okinbaloye has NOT been fired, contrary to social media rumors doing the rounds.

“I communicated with him a few hours ago, and he said he is on vacation here in the United States and still very much in the employ of Channels TV.”

Okinbaloye said “Prof, the whole story is fake news.”.

This confirmation has brought to an end the rumours that have been trending on the social media that Channels TV has fired the popular and fearless anchor on Politics Today

Okinbaloye’s fans can now have some signs of relief from their fears that they will no longer hear his insightful, indepth, and critical analysis of Nigerian politics and the wider world.
