The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF) and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, expressed deep condolences to the victims, government, and people of Borno State after the tragic suicide attacks in Gwoza Local Government Area.
In a press statement released by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs at Government House Gombe, Governor Yahaya condemned the attacks, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives and many injuries. He described the attack as cowardly and emphasized that such acts of terror have no place in a peaceful society. “These cowardly attacks by bloodthirsty terrorists will never break the spirit of the peace-loving people of Northern Nigeria and our great nation,” he declared.
The Governor acknowledged the efforts of the Tinubu Administration in combating terrorism and the ongoing pressure against criminal elements. He expressed confidence that sustained efforts and cooperation among security agencies would effectively reduce terrorism. “We must ensure that our security apparatus is always a step ahead of these terrorists.
