Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken publicly for the first time after a viral video showed his wife, popular actress Regina Daniels, in distress, claiming that her recent actions were influenced by drugs and alcohol.
In a statement and short video posted on his Instagram page, #princenednwoko, on Sunday, the senator said Regina’s struggle with substance abuse was the main cause of their marital problems.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
The lawmaker alleged that Regina became violent in his absence, attacking his staff and destroying property in their home.
“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he claimed.

Nwoko said he had offered his wife two options for rehabilitation—either in Asokoro or in Jordan—where, according to him, she would be kept away from drugs.
He further accused some of Regina’s friends of worsening the situation.
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
His comments came hours after PUNCH Online reported a viral video showing Regina Daniels visibly upset and shouting during a confrontation.
In the clip, the actress said, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Reacting to the incident, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote on Instagram.
As of press time, Regina Daniels and her representatives had not responded to the senator’s allegations, leaving the cause of the altercation unclear.
Regina Daniels married Ned Nwoko in 2019, and their relationship—marked by a 40-year age difference—has often drawn public attention and debate.
