Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has denied reports that he was arrested in the United Kingdom following an alleged fight with his wife, Natasha Osawaru.
The rumour, which began circulating online, claimed that the singer and his wife had a heated argument shortly after arriving in London for his UK tour on October 2, 2025. According to social media commentator Tosin Silverdam, the alleged altercation got so intense that police were called, and 2Baba was reportedly taken away.
Some reports also claimed that the couple fought at their hotel and that bottles were thrown during the dispute.
But 2Baba has now spoken out, saying the reports are false. In a video he shared on social media, the “African Queen” singer explained that his absence from the show was due to a medical emergency, not a domestic issue.

He appeared in the video alongside Natasha and another man, laughing off the rumour.
“Please, if you don’t know anything, don’t talk. I am tired of this allegedly. We had a medical emergency. It was tough. To the show organisers and everybody that came out, I appreciate you. We go regroup and make something beautiful happen,” 2Baba said.
The other man in the video could be heard jokingly saying, “Oh boy, they have alleged,” to which 2Baba responded with a smile.
However, Tosin Silverdam stood by his earlier claim, insisting that his sources were reliable. He also shared what he said were chat messages between the show organisers and others discussing the alleged incident.
Despite the controversy, 2Baba appeared calm and unbothered in the video, thanking fans for their support and promising to make it up to them soon.
