Actress and producer Funke Akindele has shared why she is no longer close to fellow actress Eniola Badmus. In an interview with Arise TV, Akindele discussed her relationships with colleagues and how she manages friendships amid her busy career.
When asked about maintaining friendships as her fame grows, Akindele said she has never had many close friends outside her family. “I think my siblings are my friends. They are my friends. I have acquaintances, people that I’m cordial with, but not serious friendships like that,” she explained. She added that her busy schedule leaves little time for socializing. “When I’m not working, I’m sleeping, chilling with the kids, watching a movie, chilling with the family.”

Akindele clarified that she prefers to stay in her own space rather than attend parties. “I like being in my space. I don’t really like going to parties, I’m not a party animal. I don’t like it at all,” she said. With a demanding career that includes running a studio and producing content for YouTube, cinemas, and streaming platforms, Akindele emphasized the importance of balancing work with spending time with her children.
When asked specifically about her relationship with Eniola Badmus, Akindele said, “Eniola Badmus makes me laugh. She cracks me up so much. I love to chill with her. But, we’ve been so busy with life. Everybody is doing their thing. But I’m still cordial with her, and everybody.”
Akindele noted that while she maintains cordial relationships with her colleagues in the industry, her close circle remains small due to her focus on work and family.
