The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has told its members to quickly register with Dangote Refinery ahead of the refinery’s direct fuel supply, which will begin on Monday, September 15.
In a memo signed by IPMAN President, Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi, and National Secretary, Hon. James Terlumun Tor, the association directed zonal and depot chairmen to inform members.
“IPMAN members who have already registered with Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Co. Ltd are all directed to resume immediate payment. Interested members who are yet to register are urged to go ahead with their registrations,” the memo read.
Dangote Refinery has announced that petrol (PMS) will sell at N841 per litre in Lagos and other South-West states, while Abuja, Rivers, Delta, Edo, and Kwara states will sell at N851 per litre. The first phase of supply will cover Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, Delta, Edo, Rivers, and South-West states before expanding nationwide.
The company said it is investing over N720 billion into the fuel distribution programme. It will use CNG-powered trucks to reduce costs, save the economy an estimated N1.8 trillion annually, and help lower pump prices.

“In particular, the initiative is expected to benefit more than 42 million micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by lowering energy costs and improving profit margins,” Dangote Group stated.
The refinery also said the programme will revive dormant filling stations and create thousands of jobs, including for truck drivers, fuel attendants, and station managers.
Stakeholders such as fuel station operators, telecom companies, and large-scale fuel consumers have been urged to partner with the project.
