Security forces in Katsina State have arrested Aisha Abubakar for allegedly transporting ammunition to terrorists. The arrest occurred during a routine search of her luggage, as reported by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama on Monday.
“The authorities discovered the ammunition in her luggage during a routine search,” Makama said.
Initially, Abubakar denied any involvement. However, she later confessed to her role in the operation.
“She initially denied involvement but later confessed to transporting the ammunition to a terrorist group from Nassarawa State,” Makama explained.

Further interrogation revealed that Abubakar was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa Local Government Area of Katsina State.
“During the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was heading to Yan Tumaki in Dan Musa LGA in Katsina State,” Makama noted.
Makama emphasized the significance of this arrest in the broader context of counter-terrorism efforts.
“The incident highlights the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and the importance of vigilance in preventing the proliferation of illegal weapons,” he said.
