Nigerian music star Davido says he doesn’t make music for money, even though he has billions of dollars waiting for him if he stops working.
In a video that recently went viral, the Afrobeats singer said he continues to work because of his passion for music, not for the money.
“I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. If I do not work all my life, I have got billions of dollars waiting for me. It was not for the money. I love my job,” said Davido.

The 32-year-old, whose real name is David Adeleke, also praised himself for his hard work and determination.
“I’m grateful to myself for being hardworking. The strength and mental ability it takes to do this work, especially when the odds are against you,” he said.
Davido became famous in 2012 with his hit song Dami Duro from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Since then, he has become one of Africa’s biggest music stars, known around the world for his energetic performances and chart-topping songs.
