President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to hold onto their “great expectations” and remain hopeful during Eid-el-Kabir. He emphasized that the festival symbolizes sacrifice, faith, and obedience to God’s will, assuring citizens that their sacrifices will not be in vain.
In a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu called on Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of the season.
“Sacrifice and duty are essential ingredients to nation-building,” Tinubu stated, adding that significant change requires collective effort and determination.
The President acknowledged the hardships faced by Nigerians over the past year, highlighting his administration’s commitment to enhancing the social and economic well-being of the populace. He noted that positive outcomes are already emerging, with the economy showing signs of improvement and key sectors regaining vibrancy.
“President Tinubu affirms that the sacrifices and great expectations of citizens will not come to nought,” Ngelale said.
The President reassured Nigerians that his government is focused on ensuring their physical, social, and economic security.
Tinubu also celebrated with the Muslim community, expressing his hopes that Allah will accept their prayers and acts of obedience. He encouraged all Nigerians to pray for continuous peace and stability in the country, and to work together towards unity, peace, and progress.
In his Eid message, President Tinubu concluded by urging everyone to reflect on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, which holds profound meaning for the nation.
