Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, visited Jos on Wednesday to inspect the ongoing renovation of the Plateau Hotel and Hill Station Hotel. Both hotels are owned by the state government and are being remodeled as part of efforts to revive tourism in the state.
Governor Mutfwang said the decision to renovate the hotels is part of his plan to make Plateau a top destination for tourism and investment.
“These hotels are iconic and part of the history of Plateau. We are partnering with private investors so we don’t rely only on public funds. This way, the projects can last longer and serve the people better,” he said.
He added that part of the Plateau Hotel renovation is expected to be completed by December 1.
The governor said he was pleased with the work done so far but reminded the contractors to maintain high standards.
