President Bola Tinubu marked Children’s Day with a heartfelt celebration of Nigeria’s youth, emphasizing their role as the torchbearers of the nation’s future.
In a message, through the Special Adviser to the Presidential on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, to parents, guardians, and families nationwide, President Tinubu called for a reinforcement of family values, highlighting the importance of honesty, modesty, hard work, and charity.
The message stated, “The President rejoices with parents, guardians, and families across the nation, and calls for a reinforcement of the family unit as a place where the sacred values of honesty, modesty, hard work and charity are passed down to the shining lights of tomorrow.
“President Tinubu affirms that society is a reflection of each family unit as a collective, urging the preservation of those principles that make us a wholesome, nurturing, and thriving nation.
President Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is committed to providing children with a solid foundation for realizing their dreams. He outlined ongoing efforts to enhance the education system, including increased investments and a comprehensive overhaul to improve both human and material resources for learning.
He also highlighted the work of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, aimed at getting the nation’s children off the streets and into classrooms.
“We are expanding access to qualitative education for all Nigerians,” President Tinubu emphasized.
Furthermore, the President reassured the nation of his commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment.
“No effort will be spared in securing the nation’s future,” he declared, underscoring his administration’s dedication to improving educational standards and providing a nurturing environment for the country’s youth.
