Iran has warned the United States not to get involved in Israel’s ongoing military attacks against the country, saying such actions could be dangerous for everyone.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, gave the warning on Saturday while speaking to reporters in Istanbul, Turkey, ahead of a major meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
“U.S. involvement in Israel’s attacks on Iran would be very unfortunate and extremely dangerous for everyone,” Araghchi said.
He called for an end to the fighting and urged all sides to return to diplomacy, saying Iran is open to peaceful discussions.
“Diplomacy worked in the past, it can work again. But to return to it, aggression must stop,” he said.

Araghchi also said that Iran is ready to negotiate, just as it did during the 2015 nuclear agreement.
“We are absolutely ready for a negotiated solution, just like in 2015,” he stated.
He accused Israel of trying to block peace efforts.
“Israel is clearly against diplomacy,” Araghchi added.
The conflict between Iran and Israel began on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on several locations in Iran, including military and nuclear facilities. In response, Iran fired missiles at targets in Israel.
Since then, the fighting has caused serious damage in both countries. Iranian health officials say more than 430 people have been killed and over 3,500 injured in Israeli attacks. In Israel, at least 25 people have died and hundreds have been injured in Iranian missile strikes, according to Israeli authorities.
Despite the rising tension, Iran’s foreign minister said diplomacy is still possible—but only if the fighting stops.
“Halting hostilities is the first step to make any diplomatic progress,” Araghchi said.
