Israel’s Defence Minister has openly threatened to kill Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, accusing him of planning attacks on Israel through proxy groups.
According to Al Jazeera, the Defence Minister said Khamenei had always wanted to destroy Israel and must be stopped.
“This man, who is willing to attack us, must not stay alive. Eliminating him is part of the campaign. We now understand his role because before, he was only speaking about the destruction of Israel,” the minister reportedly said.
This threat comes after Iran launched a missile strike on the city of Beersheba, which damaged the Soroka Medical Center. In response, Israel attacked several Iranian nuclear and military sites.
The conflict has led to many casualties. Reports say more than 240 people have died in Israel’s attacks on Iran, including 70 women and children. At least 24 people have been killed in Iranian strikes on Israel.

In a video message, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people and said he hoped military action would lead to freedom for them.
Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump also commented on the situation. In a social media post, he said:
“We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now… Our patience is wearing thin.”
Ayatollah Khamenei had earlier warned the United States not to launch any attacks on Iran. He said any such move would lead to “serious irreparable consequences.”
Tensions between Israel and Iran have grown worse in recent weeks, with both sides exchanging deadly strikes. The situation remains tense as the world watches closely.
