The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 40 year-old-old woman alleged to have sexually abused a 12 year-old boy in Tashan Jama’are in Katagum Local Government Area in Bauchi State.
Bauchi Police Command has begun an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakil, confirmed the story to the journalists.
Wakil said that on March 1, at about 2:00 p.m. someone who was concerned about the development reported a case of sexual abuse to the divisional police headquarters in Azare.

Wakil explained that the woman was alleged to have sexually abused the 12 year-old Arabic school boy severally. She employed the boy to assist her in running her business.
Wakil said, “The victim, an Arabic pupil, was reportedly housed in the suspect’s residence, where he was subjected to inappropriate conduct for two months.
“During an interview, the victim described how the suspect, who he trusted as a maternal figure, engaged him in acts of a sexual nature. He said he was given a drink, which was a mixture of lemon juice and something,” the police said.
Wakil said in an investigation which had begun, the suspect (the 40 year-old woman) has admitted to have committed the offence. She will be prosecuted according to the law.
