Spanish golfer Jon Rahm is second on the list, having secured at least $300 million from his move to the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf. Rahm has earned a total of $218 million.
Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi holds the third spot. His move to Major League Soccer (MLS) netted him $135 million, with $65 million from on-field earnings and $70 million off-field, boosted by deals with brands like Adidas and Apple.
LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers ranks fourth with $128.2 million, followed by Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in fifth place with $111 million.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is sixth with $110 million. Neymar, now playing for Al Hilal, rounds out the top seven with $108 million despite missing much of the season due to a torn ACL.
