The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bashir Ajibola, has firmly stated that there is “no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” urging Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Ajibola made this declaration in Ilorin on Friday during a multi-billion naira agriculture and human capital development empowerment programme organized by Senator Saliu Mustapha, who represents Kwara Central in the Senate. Addressing a gathering of beneficiaries and party supporters, Ajibola emphasized that the president’s policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda were yielding positive results, particularly in food security.
“The programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his Renewed Hope Agenda are yielding fruits and turning the country into a self-dependent nation. The food security reforms are yielding good results. I enjoin you all to support President Tinubu and Senator Mustapha in the elections with your votes. I repeat, there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” Ajibola declared.
Tinubu’s Agricultural Reforms Receive Praise
The event was attended by top government officials, including the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, and several senators. Speaking at the occasion, Kyari commended President Tinubu’s agricultural reforms, noting that they were making food more accessible and affordable for Nigerians.
“The reform President Tinubu initiated in terms of food security is working; we have seen and are feeling that food is not only available, but prices are gradually becoming affordable,” Kyari stated.
Deputy Senate President Barau also praised Senator Mustapha’s contributions as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development. He described Mustapha as a key figure in advancing the president’s agenda.

Mustapha’s Commitment to Development
In his address, Senator Mustapha highlighted his efforts to align with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda through education, economic empowerment, and agricultural development.
“If we must align with Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, we must play key roles in the education of our people and empower them to contribute significantly to the nation’s economy,” Mustapha said.
He revealed that over 200 youths had been awarded university scholarships, complete with accommodation. He also shared his admiration for women participating in technical training, saying, “I was fascinated the other day, seeing women climbing poles when they were being trained on how to fix and repair solar systems.”
The senator announced various empowerment initiatives, including:
– Support for Butchers: Over 100 people in the abattoir business received one cow each, valued at N1 million.
– Refrigeration Aid: Refrigerators were provided to those needing preservation facilities for their businesses.
– Women Empowerment: More than 450 grinding machines were distributed to women whose equipment had broken down.
– Agricultural Support: Two tractors were allocated to each local government in his constituency to boost farming.
Additional Support from Senate Leadership
Senator Barau, who represented Senate President Godswill Akpabio at the event, also contributed 200 sewing machines to support Mustapha’s empowerment drive.
“We all decided to come here and share this moment with SM. He’s one of the senators we are proud of in the Senate. He’s always passionate about Kwara whenever he’s in the Senate. We will continue to work and collaborate with him,” Barau added.
The event reinforced the APC’s commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s administration and solidified the party’s stance on the 2027 elections.
