The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has nominated former Governor Samuel Ortom as a member of its national Board of Trustees (BOT). The announcement was made on Tuesday in a statement by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Tim Nyor, and shared with journalists in Makurdi, the state capital.

According to the statement, the decision aligns with Sections 32(1)(g) and 32(4) of the PDP constitution. The official notification of Ortom’s nomination was issued by the party’s secretariat and signed by the State Secretary, Dan Nyikwagh.
The PDP’s State Working Committee (SWC), led by Chairman Rt. Hon. Ezekiel Awulu Adaji, expressed confidence in Ortom’s ability to excel in his new role. “After careful deliberation, the SWC unanimously endorsed you for the position, recognising your invaluable contributions to the party, your exemplary leadership, and your commitment to the ideals and progress of the PDP,” the statement read.
