The La Masia academy of Barcelona has discovered yet another footballing gem—this time, a 9-year-old Nigerian prodigy named Destiny Kesiso. With an incredible record of 87 goals in just 22 games, Destiny has been hailed as the next big talent to emerge from the world-renowned youth system.
La Masia, regarded as the pinnacle of football academies, has produced legends such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, and Carles Puyol. These players not only brought glory to Barcelona by winning numerous titles, including two historic trebles, but also lifted the FIFA World Cup with their national teams.
In recent years, La Masia has continued to develop exceptional talent despite Barcelona’s financial difficulties. Rising stars like Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, and Gavi have seamlessly transitioned into the first team, keeping the academy’s legacy alive.

Destiny Kesiso, however, is capturing attention on a global scale. His goal-scoring prowess, combined with his speed and sharp instincts, has left fans and coaches amazed. According to reports, Destiny once scored a jaw-dropping 20 goals in a single tournament, leading Barcelona’s youth team to victory in the Iscar Cup.
“Destiny’s numbers are absolutely extraordinary for a player of his age. His ability to finish, his pace, and his awareness on the pitch set him apart from his peers. He’s a natural talent,” noted one La Masia coach.
Interestingly, Destiny’s talent runs in the family. His two older brothers, David Obinna and Divine Ikkenna, are also part of La Masia, although Destiny’s performances have clearly marked him as a standout player.
