Spotify has announced that it will increase the monthly price of its Premium Individual subscription plan in Nigeria and several other regions starting September 2025.
The music streaming platform made this known in a blog post shared on its official website on Monday.
According to the statement, the subscription price will rise from 10.99 euros to 11.99 euros per month in markets across Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Spotify said subscribers will get an email in the coming weeks, informing them about the new pricing.
“Thank you for being a valued Premium subscriber. Starting on your billing date in September, your subscription price will change from 10.99 €/month to 11.99 €/month,” part of the message to users reads.
The company said the price change will help improve its services and develop new features.
“To continue to innovate on our product offerings and features and bring users the best experience, we occasionally update our prices,” Spotify stated.
Spotify added that the adjustment is aimed at ensuring it can serve users better while maintaining high-quality service across the affected regions.
