The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, have expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win a second term in 2027.
Both leaders said the President’s bold reforms and experienced leadership are already changing Nigeria for the better.
Governor Ododo, who visited the APC national leadership in Abuja on Friday, promised full loyalty to the party and President Tinubu. He praised the President’s policies and said they are creating a solid foundation for Nigeria’s future.
Ododo said, “Mr. President’s unwavering support to Kogi State is not taken for granted. I assure him of our unflinching loyalty and massive support in 2027 and beyond. It takes a bold heart like that of Mr. President to take tough but necessary decisions.”
Ododo noted that reforms in the petroleum and monetary sectors are in the best interest of the country. He said Nigerians will reward Tinubu with another term for showing courage and leadership.
“I am confident that the people of Nigeria will file behind Mr. President for a resounding victory come 2027,” he added.
The Kogi governor also talked about his achievements since taking office. He said his government has focused on improving security, growing agriculture, and building infrastructure. According to him, these actions have increased public trust in the APC.
“Our inclusive governance model, which prioritises youth and women’s participation in leadership, is yielding great dividends. This approach has further endeared the APC to the people of Kogi State,” Ododo said.

In response, APC Chairman Ganduje praised Ododo’s performance and leadership style. He said the APC is leading the country with knowledge and clear direction, not guesswork.
Ganduje said, “We are not governing by trial and error. We are not leading by guesswork, nor by money and influence. We are governing with knowledge.”
He also commended Ododo for maintaining a good relationship with his predecessor, former Governor Yahaya Bello. Ganduje said many states face problems when new governors fight with former leaders, but Kogi State is different.
“That demonstrated a strong working relationship and vision. That is a step forward — an example of progressivism,” Ganduje said.
Ganduje assured Ododo of continued support from the national leadership of the APC and said the party is growing stronger across the country.
“We are proud of governors like you who are making significant developmental strides in their states. Mr. President has created an enabling environment and introduced critical reforms. We are improving the welfare of the people — and we thank you for tha.” Ganduje added.
