Tantalizers Plc, a popular fast food company in Nigeria, has taken a bold step into the entertainment world by acquiring Grand Media Projects Limited. The media firm was co-founded by filmmaker Tade Ogidan and actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD).
The company announced the deal in a notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange and signed by its Company Secretary, Olamide Babawale-Mo. This move marks a major shift for Tantalizers as it looks beyond the food sector and into Nigeria’s fast-growing creative industry.
Grand Media is known for producing films, TV shows, and dthe igital content. With this acquisition, Tantalizers plans to dive into content creation, youth-focused entertainment, and branded events.
Chairman of Tantalizers Plc, Adam Nuru said, “Our acquisition of Tade Ogidan’s Grand Media is a quantum leap into content development, branded experiences, and event activations. The growing link between food, lifestyle, and entertainment will deliver great value to our brand and stakeholders.”
Nuru said the company hopes to connect with more young Nigerians by blending food services with entertainment.

Tade Ogidan, Chairman of Grand Media, also shared his excitement about the partnership. “We are super excited about the creative opportunities this acquisition presents. Tantalizers’ tech-driven entertainment platform is a socially smart initiative and will be a game changer in the industry,” he said.
Ogidan added that the deal would bring new energy to storytelling and media production in Nigeria, especially as the youth continue to demand high-quality entertainment.
According to the statement, this move is part of Tantalizers’ long-term strategy to expand into high-impact sectors like media, fisheries, and digital content. The company has already set a target to earn N18 billion by the end of 2025 through its new business plans.
“This marks the beginning of a broader push by Tantalizers to transform into a multi-sector consumer brand,” the notice stated.
The acquisition signals a new chapter for both Tantalizers and Grand Media as they work together to shape the future of food, entertainment, and youth culture in Nigeria.
