The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two men for the gruesome murder and beheading of a 10-year-old boy in Jada Local Government Area.
The suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik (27) and Aliyu Abdul Malik (18), both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma, were taken into custody by operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Jada.
Missing Boy Found Dead
The victim, identified as Abdalla Lawali, was a young Almajiri boy from Anguwar Dubai, Jada. He was reported missing on March 7, 2025, sparking a search by his family and community members.
Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the arrests in a statement released on Sunday.
“The suspects were alleged to have killed and beheaded a 10-year-old Almajiri, identified as Abdalla Lawali,” Nguroje stated.
Following intelligence reports, Commissioner of Police Dankombo Morris deployed security personnel to investigate. Their efforts led to the discovery of the boy’s decomposed body inside a sack. Further searches at the suspects’ residence uncovered the victim’s severed head buried in a shallow grave within the compound.

Suspects Confess to the Crime
During interrogation, the two men admitted to committing the murder, claiming they regretted their actions and blaming “the devil” for influencing them.
The police described the killing as barbaric and inhumane. CP Morris condemned the crime and ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case for a thorough investigation and prosecution.
Police Assure Justice for the Victim
CP Morris assured the public that the suspects would face the full wrath of the law.
“We will ensure that justice is served. Such acts of wickedness have no place in our society,” he said.
He also urged parents and guardians to monitor their children closely and report any suspicious activities in their communities to the police.
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the Jada community, with residents calling for swift justice for young Abdalla Lawali.
