Nigerian music star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has responded to the allegations made by an elderly man, Fatai Odunsi, who claimed to be his father and accused him of neglect.
Odunsi, in a viral video that circulated widely on Friday, alleged that he had been battling a stroke since 2022 and that despite multiple attempts to contact Asake, the singer had ignored his calls. He pleaded with the public for financial assistance, saying he was struggling to survive.

However, Asake has now reacted to the controversy in a cryptic but emotional message shared on social media. In a video, the singer, singing in Yoruba, hinted that he had already given Odunsi a lot of financial support but could never satisfy everyone.
“You can’t please everyone, you can’t please the world. But anything you are doing, just do it for God,” Asake sang.
He also seemed to express frustration over the situation, saying, “My own father wants to cajole me, and I have sent so much money to him. I have struggled for so many years, but they want to make life tire me.”
