Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has issued a strong warning to his political appointees, making it clear that his administration will not tolerate corruption, laziness, or disloyalty. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed and reappointed members of the State Executive Council on Thursday in Akure, the governor emphasized the need for hard work, teamwork, and efficiency in governance.
Aiyedatiwa stated that his administration was committed to delivering results with speed and accuracy, urging the new officials to align with the government’s seven-point developmental agenda, tagged “OUR EASE.” The agenda aims to accelerate Ondo State’s progress by focusing on key areas of development.
To ensure that appointees remain accountable, the governor announced plans to introduce performance-measuring techniques.
“We demand excellent performance from all appointees, for that is the primary reason we were voted into office by the good people of Ondo State,” Aiyedatiwa said.
He further stressed the importance of collaboration between political appointees and career officers, including permanent secretaries and accounting officers across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). According to him, this cooperation is essential for building a strong and unified administration with a shared vision.

New Appointees Take Oath of Office
The newly inaugurated officials include key figures who will play vital roles in the state government. Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti was sworn in as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), while Dr. Olukayode Ajulo (SAN) took office as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Other key appointments include Mrs. Omowumi Isaac as Commissioner for Finance, Johnson Alabi as Special Adviser on Power, Dr. Seun Osamaye as Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Bola Taiwo as Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties, Prof. Simidele Odimayo as Special Adviser on Health, and Abiola Olawoye as Special Adviser on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing.

Responding on behalf of the newly appointed officials, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti, expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for the opportunity to serve.
