Renowned Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has advised couples facing tension in their marriage to turn to prayer retreats as a way to restore peace and strengthen their relationship.
In a video shared on Instagram, the veteran actress emphasized the power of prayer, love, and forgiveness in sustaining a successful union. She encouraged spouses to take time away, either together or individually, to seek divine guidance whenever conflicts arise.
Prayer as a Solution to Marital Struggles
Anunobi acknowledged that disagreements are inevitable in any marriage but stressed the importance of prioritizing peace, especially when the issues are not life-threatening.
“If the tension or steam in your marriage gets too hot, go on a prayer retreat—together or alone—then come back and continue the journey,” she advised.
She further explained that marriage is a commitment between two determined individuals who are willing to keep praying, loving, and forgiving each other despite challenges.
“Altercations will surely surface, but as long as they are not life-threatening, make sure to let peace reign,” she added.

‘Warning Against the ‘Enemy of Marriage’
Anunobi also cautioned couples that the devil seeks to destroy marriages, urging them to stay vigilant through prayer and faith. She emphasized that many relationships break down not because of a lack of love but due to a failure to nurture the spiritual bond between spouses.
“The agenda of the devil is to break marriages. You must not allow that to happen. Stay prayerful and protect your home,” she warned.
The actress, known for both her on-screen and off-screen spiritual messages, has been vocal about the importance of faith in daily life. Many of her followers praised her advice, with some sharing personal experiences of how prayer helped restore their marriages.
One social media user commented: “A timely message! Prayer saved my marriage when we were at the brink of divorce.”
Another wrote: “Eucharia always speaks wisdom. Marriage needs constant prayers and patience.”
Marriages Need Work, Not Just Love
Anunobi’s message aligns with her previous teachings, where she has advocated for forgiveness, patience, and understanding in relationships. She has often highlighted that while love is important, it is not enough to sustain a marriage without prayer and commitment.
Her advice serves as a reminder to couples that challenges are a part of marriage, but with the right mindset and spiritual dedication, they can overcome obstacles and build a lasting and happy relationship.
