Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has strongly denied allegations of defamation against prominent human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz. This follows the release of an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have given the Falanas N10 million in exchange for a presidential pardon regarding his conviction earlier this year.
The audio, which surfaced last month, prompted Falana and Falz to demand a public retraction and an apology from Bobrisky. They issued a 12-hour ultimatum through a cease-and-desist letter signed by lawyers from Falana and Falana’s Chambers, urging Bobrisky to address the matter immediately.
However, Bobrisky has vehemently denied the accusations and disassociated himself from the contents of the recording. He took to social media to clarify his position, stating, “I, Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky, didn’t give Falz or his dad any money for pardon. As a matter of fact, no penny was given to them.”

The crossdresser further emphasized that the voice in the recording is not his, dismissing the claims of bribery as baseless. He stressed that he had not made any defamatory statements about the Falanas and asserted his innocence in the matter. “The person that published an audio online should take full responsibility for what he posted in public,” Bobrisky declared, insisting that any legal action should be directed towards the individual who released the recording, not him.
The dispute has drawn significant attention on social media, with supporters and critics of both parties voicing their opinions. While some have called for Bobrisky to provide evidence of his innocence, others believe that the Falanas should focus their legal efforts on the source of the leaked audio.
