At least 17 were people killed, and over 20 others were injured following blasts from a suspected suicide bomber in Konduga, Borno State. The attack occurred on Wednesday night in Kawuri, a community about 50 kilometers from Maiduguri, the state’s capital.
According to intelligence sources, the suspected Boko Haram terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) around 8:00 AM on July 31. “The bomber labored in the community for some days with the locals before carrying out the attack,” the sources said.

Emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene to provide assistance. Injured victims were taken for treatment, and the deceased were transported to a Primary Health Care Center. The Police Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) team also arrived to secure the area and prevent further explosions.
The incident has put the local community on high alert. Authorities have restored order, but joint security teams remain vigilant to ensure safety.
