The Catalan club is prepared to pay Williams’ release clause to bring him to Catalunya. However, La Vanguardia reports that Nico “has doubts” about leaving his “beloved” Athletic Club.
Williams, a standout player in the Euro 2024 tournament, is “considering postponing” his move for another year. Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, is working hard to persuade Williams that now is the right time to join the team.
