Senator Ifeanyi Ubah has died in a hospital in the United Kingdom, UK. The lawmaker represented Anambra South district in the National Assembly. The politician and businessman passed away in a UK hospital where he had gone for surgery.
A close friend of the senator confirmed the news, stating, “Yes, he is dead. We spoke to him three times yesterday before he went into the theatre for the operation.”
The family is expected to release an official statement soon.

Senator Ubah, who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Young Progressives Party (YPP), was also the CEO of Capital Oil. He survived an assassination attempt in September 2022, where three police escorts in his convoy were killed in Enugwu Ukwu, Anambra State.
Ubah’s wife, Uchenna, is a Business Administration graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, and they had five children together. He also founded the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, named in his honor.
