In Katsina State, Aisha Abubakar, a women leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), confessed to working as a bandits’ informant. She admitted to receiving N5,000 from a ransom of N9 million and a motorcycle paid to the bandits.
Shara Reporters reported that Abubakar organized the kidnapping of five family members of the APC chairman in Tsaiyaya Ward, Matazu Local Government Area. In a viral video, she revealed her role in supplying information for the kidnapping of Alhaji Sanusi, his two wives, and three children.
“I was approached by one Zainab, now at large, to provide information on Alhaji Sanusi and the family of the chairman to enable a successful kidnapping operation, and I did,” Abubakar confessed. “After the ransom, including N9 million and a motorcycle, was paid, I was given a share of N5,000. Though with a balance of N15,000 to be paid after I returned from a wedding ceremony in Zaria.”

She named other key actors in the community, including Yahaya, Audu na Bani, and the children of Bashar.
Abubakar also admitted to participating in a cattle rustling operation in Tsaiyaya, which earned her N20,000. “I was also a key informant in the successful cattle rustling in Tsaiyaya some time ago, and I got N20,000 from that operation,” she said.
