Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki, has confirmed his separation from Nneoma Nwaijah, whom he married in 2011. Aki revealed this news while introducing his new wife, Stephanie Promise, on Instagram.
Aki and Nneoma had a traditional wedding on November 26, 2011, in Imo State, followed by a white wedding on December 9, 2011, in Lagos. The event was attended by notable Nollywood stars such as Osita Iheme, Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, and Mercy Johnson.
On Tuesday, the 46-year-old actor announced his separation from Nneoma and shared that he is now married to Stephanie Promise, with whom he recently welcomed a child. He celebrated Stephanie’s birthday on Instagram and praised her as the heart of their family.
Aki wrote, “My world, my love. On this particular day, I want to celebrate not only your birthday but the incredible journey we’ve been on together.
“You have blessed our lives with two beautiful girls who light up our world, and now, we have been gifted with a precious baby boy.”

Aki did not specify when his first marriage ended or when he married Stephanie. However, he expressed his deep love and appreciation for his new wife.
“As we welcome our son, Chidubem Ivan Chinedu Ikedieze, into this world, I am reminded of the boundless love and joy you bring into my life. Happy birthday, baby, my angel, my sweetheart. Here’s to many more years of laughter, love, and beautiful memories,” he continued.
In an August 2023 interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Aki discussed his decision to keep his family life private. He emphasized his desire to protect his wife and children from the pressures of social media attention.
“I have children, but I decided to put them aside because I’m the celebrity, they are not. I want them to be free because the moment everybody gets to know them, it will affect them, and I don’t want that. So, I hide them, even my wife, apart from our wedding announcement that I made,” Aki explained.
Since his Nollywood debut in 2000, Aki has starred in numerous films, including “Lagos Boys,” “Charge & Bail,” “Back from America,” and “Aki na Ukwa,” alongside Osita Iheme.
