Kylian Mbappe will not join Real Madrid’s pre-season tour in North America. The team, known as Los Blancos, will travel to the USA on July 28 for friendly matches against Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea. Instead, Mbappe will start his pre-season training at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility on August 7.
The reason for Mbappe’s absence is his involvement with the French national team in the European Championship, which prevented him from taking a break after a demanding season with Paris Saint-Germain. Following France’s exit from Euro 2024 in the semi-finals on July 9, Mbappe, along with coach Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid’s management, decided he should rest before starting training.

Mbappe mentioned at his introductory press conference as a Real Madrid player that he is ready to join the team but will follow the club’s plans for his participation in pre-season activities. “If the club wants me to go, I will go,” he said.
Real Madrid plans to synchronize Mbappe’s return with other French national team members like Ferland Mendy, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga. They aim for Mbappe to make his debut in the European Super Cup against Atalanta on August 14 in Warsaw, Poland.
