The FCT Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of retired Brigadier General Uwem Udukwere at his home in Abuja’s Sunshine Estate.
FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, announced the arrests and noted that two robbers involved in the crime remain at large and are wanted. “We are committed to apprehending these individuals and bringing them to justice,” Igweh stated.
The police detailed the arrest operation, which took place at Kabusa and Pigbakasa Apo in Abuja, led by CCP Victor Godfrey. The suspects robbed and murdered Brigadier General Udukwere at his residence, No. 9 Sanga Street, Sunshine Homes, near Kabusa Junction, Lokogoma.

The suspects have been identified as Ibrahim Rabiu, 33, from Dala Local Government Area in Kano State, residing near Rasha Apo Roundabout; Nafiu Jamil, 33, from Tofa Local Government Area in Kano State, residing in Apo Pantekar; Aliyu Abdullahi, 47, from Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State, residing near Apo Roundabout; and Mohammed Nuhu, 28, from Kumbotso Local Government Area in Kano State, residing near Apo Primary School.
The police continue their search for the two remaining suspects who fled with the retired general’s pistol.
