Mystery shrouds the demise of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, as an autopsy conducted to ascertain the cause of his death reportedly yielded inconclusive results, leaving unanswered questions lingering in the air.
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wahab Shittu, revealed to journalists after a coroner’s inquest in Lagos State that the pathologist in charge of the autopsy disclosed the challenges encountered due to the decomposition of Mohbad’s body.
“The cause of death cannot be determined because, by the time they conducted the test, the body had decomposed,” Shittu stated, relaying the pathologist’s remarks. “So, in summary, he is saying the cause of death cannot be ascertained. When you say the cause of death cannot be ascertained, it means it is suspicious, it is not clear.”
According to Shittu, the pathologist hinted at the possibility of Mohbad’s demise being linked to a reaction to certain drugs administered before his death. However, uncertainty looms as the pathologist admitted to being unsure if the drugs directly contributed to the singer’s death.
The late Mohbad’s passing, shrouded in controversy, occurred on September 12, 2023, prompting speculations and finger-pointing, with his boss, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Sam Larry allegedly implicated, though they denied involvement.
Following Mohbad’s burial the next day, authorities exhumed his corpse on September 21 for an autopsy, signaling a quest for clarity surrounding the circumstances of his death.
As the investigation continues, the inconclusive autopsy results add a layer of complexity to the case, leaving Mohbad’s family, fans, and the public eagerly awaiting answers and closure.
