Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang unveiled plans for the Tin City Metro Urban Transportation Initiative, aiming to boost job creation, economic growth, and overall development in the state.
Speaking at the launch event, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the potential of the initiative to generate between 500 and 1,000 job opportunities, offering significant employment prospects for the residents of the state.
The centerpiece of the initiative is the introduction of 15 state-of-the-art MAN-Diesel buses, aimed at addressing the challenges of intra-city travel and enhancing the commuting experience for residents.
Governor Mutfwang highlighted the advanced features of these buses, stating, “These buses are not mere vehicles; they are mobile hubs of innovation, equipped with the latest amenities such as Near Field Communication (NFC) and secure card payment systems.”
Governor Mutfwang stressed the importance of embracing digitized travel, aligning with global trends towards cashless transactions to enhance passenger convenience.
He underscored the commitment to safety and oversight within the transportation network, citing the integration of comprehensive video monitoring systems on each bus to ensure passenger safety and promote transparency.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to exemplary leadership, Governor Mutfwang reiterated his dedication to principles of integrity, character, and the fear of God.
He pledged to continue introducing initiatives aimed at improving economic conditions and enhancing the quality of life for Plateau State residents.
“My government will remain steadfast in its adherence to due process, accountability, transparency, equity, and the rule of law,” Governor Mutfwang asserted.
