The student of Lead British International School who was captured on camera bullying her fellow student has issued a formal apology.
In a video obtained by our correspondent in Abuja, the student, identified as Hassan, expressed her “sincere apologies,” expressing regret over the entire incident.
The videos, initially posted by an X user, @moooyeeeee, showcased a female student from the school being subjected to repeated slaps by her classmates. The incident stirred outrage on social media, with many users calling for justice for the victim.

In her apology, Hassan conveyed her remorse, stating, “I am very sorry for what I did to Namtira. I am also apologizing to you all out there. I am sincerely sorry. I wish it never happened.”
The management of the school promptly responded to the incident, initiating an investigation into the matter. In a statement released to the public, the Head of the School, Abraham Ogunkanmbi, affirmed that the school had launched a thorough inquiry.
Ogunkanmbi disclosed that a dedicated team had been appointed to gather information, review video footage, and interview witnesses to ascertain the full extent of the incident and determine its root causes.
Furthermore, the school reached out to the families of both the perpetrators and the victims, offering them counseling and implementing disciplinary measures as deemed necessary.
The apology from Hassan and the school’s proactive response emphasise the seriousness with which the issue of bullying is being addressed within the educational institution.
