Lukman Teriba, a Nigerian citizen, recently revealed that despite winning over N16 million from a betting venture, he only received N3 million as payment.
Lukman disclosed that he had successfully predicted the outcome of 37 games with an initial stake of N1,000, aiming for a substantial amount.
According to the Punch: “Lukman stated that he predicted 37 games with N1,000 to win the amount, but when he took his ticket to the betting shop, he was told that the winnings had been withdrawn.
“Lukman added that after protesting, he took the case to the Bet9ja head office, and the management persuaded their agent to pay him his money, but the agent only sent N3m despite an agreement.”
