Emeka Rollas, the national president Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has confirmed the demise of Junior Pope Odonwodo on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
In the post on his Facebook page, Rollas expressed sadness saying “It’s so so sad that our joy was shortlived.”
When the news about the death of Pope first broke, Rollas debunked it. He said Junior Pope was alive out of excitement when they noticed the tingling of his fingers. Sadly, he eventually passed away after efforts to revive him failed.
Rollas further said: “Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him.
Confirming this from another source, Emma Onyemeziem, the Delta State chairman of AGN, said that the corpse of the actor had been deposited in the mortuary.
He added: “Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him.
The body of Jnr Pope had been recovered and identified, but the bodies of the other three actors have yet to be recovered.
